Summer Nature Adventure Camps

Late-night openings at Scioto Audubon Metro Park
Scioto Audubon Metro Park will stay open till midnight on the second and final Fridays of every month through October. Climbers must bring their own equipment to use the climbing wall. On these same Fridays, the dog park will also remain open till midnight, and you'll be able to enjoy late-night fishing from the dock on the Scioto River.


Teacher Workshops
Metro Parks is holding teacher workshops in June and July (Nature, not just for Science Anymore, Option 1 and Option 2 AND Highlighting PE Standards in the Outdoors) for K-12 and Phys Ed teachers.

Walnut Woods Buckeye Area
The Buckeye Area at Walnut Woods is now open, featuring a 4-acre dog park, picnic area, kids play area and two miles of trails.

Wildflowers
Take a walk through the woods or alongside the creeks and rivers in any of your Metro Parks to see the beautiful flowers, like this wild geranium.
    You'll also get to hear the songs of birds and the chance to see our most colorful spring migrants, the warblers.
 

Metro Parks Pet Trails
Let your dog enjoy nature with you on a walk along one of Metro Parks' pet trails. Thirteen of the 17 Metro Parks have at least one pet trail, with more than 50 miles of pet trails in all.
