Pets in the Parks
Don’t leave Fido at home! Dogs get cabin fever in any season, not just wintertime. All 20 Metro Parks have pet-friendly trails for dogs and cats.
Six parks have fenced in dog parks and are a great place for your best furry friend to meet and greet other 4-footed canines. A few of the dog parks feature agility equipment if you just want a fun, challenging activity to do with your dog. We’ve not mentioned felines, but leashed domestic cats are also welcome on the pet trails.
Metro Parks welcomes service animals on all of our trails and in all of our buildings and greenspaces regardless of ‘pet’ designation.
Enjoy your Parks with your Furry Friends
If your dog loves to swim bring him or her to one of the two parks that have off-leash doggie beaches and swimming areas. Leashed pets are also allowed along park roadways, parking lots and picnic areas. And of course we have dog friendly programs like Howl at the Moon
