Love the hikes
Can you please provide detailed information regarding the Chestnut Ridge Lantern Walk on 12/17? Start time? Meet up spot? Thanks!
Hi, Valerie. The hike on December 17 is from 5-6:30pm. It’s a self-guided hike. Staff will direct you to the trail once you park.
Are the parks open Christmas Day?
Hi, Lynnsey. Yes, the parks are open on Christmas.
Any more hikes this winter? Are masks required?
They end February 28 and they are self-guided hikes.
Schedule?
The hikes are self-guided so you can hike whenever you want during normal park hours.
I went to Chestnut Ridge today (12/26). The ranger station was closed and I didn’t see any park employees. How can I get a stamp? Thanks.
Which parks and when?
Hi, Clarence. They are self-guided this year. You can learn more here: https://www.metroparks.net/events/
I believe I signed up for an auto renewal last year. Can you confirm this please? I will be completing the Winter Walks series and attending the finale at Blacklick woods on 2/27 so I want to make sure I am paid up.
Thank you,
Mary Lorenz
Hi, Mary. You’ll need to contact the Friends of Metro Parks to confirm. You can email Melissa at mameyer@metroparks.net. Thanks!
Is there a group winter walk scheduled this month, February? I have never participated before.
Hi, Cecile. You can see a list of programs here: https://web1.myvscloud.com/wbwsc/ohfranklinctywt.wsc/search.html?display=detail&module=AR&sort=BeginDate
