Congratulations to Ranger Kerry Dunn for being promoted to Second Shift Supervisor. Ranger Dunn has been with Metro Parks since 2011. Prior to Metro Parks, Ranger Dunn served as a Deputy Dog Warden with Franklin County Animal Control and before that she was a Crime Scene Technician for the Clay County Sheriff’s Office in Florida.
The Second Shift Supervisor is a new position at Metro Parks and reports to the Assistant Manager of Park Operations. This position will help provide supervision and guidance to the Rangers on second shift, a time when Park Managers and Assistant Park Managers are usually not on duty. In essence, this position plays a very similar role as a sergeant in the traditional police department hierarchy. Supervisor Dunn will be available to help during incidents, or to provide guidance on policy and procedure, or to help when a park has staffing shortages. She will also be assigned other duties such as investigations, background checks, and planning for special events.
Job well done Second Shift Supervisor Dunn!
