About

Nestled within a scenic nature preserve, the 123-acre Inniswood Metro Gardens is a source of inspiration for all ages. Streams and woodlands filled with wildflowers and wildlife provide a majestic backdrop to the beautifully landscaped areas. Inniswood boasts more than 2,000 species of plants, specialty collections and several theme gardens. You can support Inniswood Metro Gardens by becoming a member of the Inniswood Garden Society.

Volunteering

Learn about opportunities for adult volunteers and how to join Inniswood Volunteers Inc (IVI) by calling our volunteer coordinator at 614-895-6226. In addition, Inniswood welcomes volunteers for the Junior Volunteer program (age 11-17), which provides youth an opportunity to assist with education programs and garden maintenance. For details, contact the senior environmental educator at 614-895-6241.

Domesticated dogs and cats are not permitted at Inniswood anywhere beyond the parking lot, except on the Chipmunk Chatter Trail on the exterior of the gardens (see above). Pets shall be on a leash no longer than six feet.

Innis House

The former home of sisters, Grace and Mary Innis, is the site for education programs, staff offices, and has a non-lending horticulture library. Work of local artists is featured in the main room on a monthly basis. Public restrooms are located outside of Innis House on the main grounds. Open Tuesday through Friday, 8am to 4:30pm  and from 11am to 4pm on Saturday and Sunday.
