Take Homeschool Outdoors

Metro Parks offers a wide variety of programs for Homeschool families, ranging from creeking adventures to insect and rock studies. Through hands-on activities, experiments and lessons students stretch their subject knowledge. These programs meet teaching standards and provide homeschool students an opportunity to work with other children and adults in an outdoor learning environment.

Many parks offer Homeschool programs that do not require registration. Click here for a list of upcoming programs. These programs are typically geared towards ages 6-12, but all are welcome.

Parks also offer field trips for homeschool groups of 15 or more. These trips can be tailored to meet the needs of the group and based on a specific learning objective. For information on how to schedule a field trip for your group, click here.
